Got bees?

For Swarm/Honeybee info in Lackawanna County:

Renee Zeb (570) 335-3091

Ilona Thurston (570) 498-7310

We can get you in touch with local beekeepers in the area. These beekeepers are volunteers, if they are unable to come
or the swarm is up very high in a tree or on a chimney, etc. - leave the bees alone,
PLEASE do not spray them!!
They are not out to sting you- they have nothing to defend.
In 1-5 days they will find their new home and disperse.

First LBB Meeting 2013

Welcome to the 2013 beekeeping season! Our first meeting of the year will be this Thursday, January 10th, 6pm, at Everything Natural in Clarks Summit. If you are interested in becoming a beekeeper this year, PLEASE make it a point to attend this meeting as we will be establishing the timeline for ordering bee packages for this spring’s arrival and taking suggestions/gauging interest in hosting a February Beginner Beekeeper Workshop. For our more seasoned beekeepers, we will also be discussing protocol for this year’s swarm season, which we expect to be even busier than last year due to club recognition. This meeting is open to the public. Please let us know if you plan to attend! Call 570-468-0045 for more information.
